Rising Within LLC respects the privacy of every student, client, and workshop participant.
This Photo & Media Release Policy explains how Rising Within handles photos, videos, audio recordings, testimonials, student work, project images, and other media connected to tutoring, coaching, workshops, events, and related services.
This policy applies to Rising Within LLC, its founder, and any independent contractor coaches or service providers working on behalf of Rising Within.
Our Default Position
Rising Within's default position is simple:
No photos, videos, audio recordings, testimonials, or identifying media are created, recorded, shared, or used without explicit written consent in advance.
Consent is opt-in, not opt-out.
Unless written permission has been provided beforehand, Rising Within will not:
Take photos or videos of students during tutoring sessions
Take photos or videos during adult coaching sessions
Record audio from tutoring, coaching, or workshop sessions
Use identifiable images, testimonials, student work, client stories, or project outcomes on the website, social media, printed materials, or marketing content
Share identifying media or content with third parties for promotional purposes
Consent is requested specifically for the intended use. It is not assumed.
Minors and Student Media
For any participant under age 18, written consent from a parent or legal guardian is required before any photo, video, recording, testimonial, student work, or identifying content is created or used.
Consent must identify the intended use, such as website, social media, printed materials, internal records, portfolio examples, or event documentation.
A general media consent does not automatically apply to future unrelated uses. New consent may be required for new or different uses.
A student's name, school, location, diagnosis, learning profile, or other identifying details will not be used with media unless separately and explicitly approved by the parent or legal guardian.
Parents and guardians may decline all photo and media use without affecting services.
Adult Coaching Privacy
Adult coaching sessions are private.
As a matter of policy, Rising Within does not take photos, videos, or audio recordings during adult coaching sessions, whether online or in person.
If an adult coaching client chooses to provide a testimonial, written statement, or other public-facing material about their experience, that decision is handled separately and only with written permission from the client outside the coaching session itself.
Workshops and Group Events
For workshops, group sessions, and events, any planned photography or media use will be disclosed in advance when possible.
If group photos or media may be taken:
Consent will be collected before media is used
Parents or legal guardians must consent for minors
Participants who decline consent will not be intentionally included
Declining media use does not affect participation
For custom-booked workshops hosted by another organization, the booking organization may also have its own media policies. Rising Within will follow its own consent requirements for any media Rising Within creates or uses.
Permitted Uses With Consent
With written permission, Rising Within may use approved media or content for the specific purposes listed in the consent form.
Possible uses may include:
Rising Within website
Rising Within social media
Printed marketing materials
Program literature
Newsletter updates
Professional portfolio examples
Speaking engagements or presentations
Internal documentation of student work or project outcomes
Only the uses approved in writing apply.
What Rising Within Will Not Do
Even with consent, Rising Within will not:
Sell or license client, student, or participant media to third parties
Use media in a misleading or deceptive way
Use identifying details about minors beyond what was specifically approved
Use private session content publicly without written permission
Record adult coaching sessions
Require media consent as a condition of receiving services
Revoking Consent
Consent may be revoked or updated at any time in writing.

Please identify what consent is being changed or revoked, such as a specific photo, video, testimonial, student work sample, or general media permission.
After receiving a written revocation request, Rising Within will stop new use of the affected material and remove it from active Rising Within-controlled platforms within a reasonable timeframe.
Rising Within cannot guarantee removal of materials already printed, distributed, downloaded, shared by others, archived by third-party platforms, or otherwise outside Rising Within's control.
Revoking consent does not affect services, scheduling, pricing, or the client relationship.
Client and Participant Recording
Clients, parents, students, workshop participants, and attendees may not record, photograph, livestream, or distribute tutoring sessions, coaching sessions, workshops, or group events without written permission from Rising Within and any other identifiable participants.
This protects privacy, confidentiality, intellectual property, and the safety of students, clients, and participants.
Updates to This Policy
Rising Within may update this Photo & Media Release Policy from time to time.
When updates are made, the "Last Updated" date will be changed.
The current version will be posted on the Rising Within website.
