Rising Within publishes standard rates for youth tutoring across all formats.
ESA-billed families and private-pay families receive the same instruction at the same rates.
Standard pricing applies unless Supported pricing is discussed and approved in advance. A limited number of Supported pricing placements may be available on a case-by-case basis for families experiencing financial need. Supported pricing is not automatic, guaranteed, or self-selected and depends on current availability.

1:1 Tutoring
$40 per hour
1:1 tutoring is best for students who need targeted attention, skill-building, curriculum support, catch-up work, or acceleration in a specific subject.
Sessions may be scheduled online, in person regionally, or in another agreed format depending on location, availability, and student needs.
Multi-Hour 1:1 Sessions
For longer 1:1 sessions, additional hours beyond the first are discounted through hour 4.
First hour at the standard $40 rate. Each additional hour through hour 4 at $30 per hour.
1 hour — $40
2 hours — $70 (save $10)
3 hours — $100 (save $20)
4 hours — $130 (save $30)
Sessions longer than four hours are billed at the full hourly rate or may be restructured as a project-based engagement, depending on session content.
Small Group Tutoring
$35 per student
Standard small group sessions are typically two hours.
Small groups may include 2–5 students.
Small group tutoring is best for learning pods, homeschool groups, or students who benefit from structured learning alongside peers.
Each student receives individual documentation when needed for ESA records.
Small Group differs from Sibling Rate below. Small Group is peer-based instruction for groups of 2–5 students in a structured 2-hour session. Sibling Rate applies when siblings receive combined 1:1-style instruction together at hourly rates.
Sibling Rates
For siblings receiving combined 1:1-style instruction together.
Two Siblings — $60 per hour total · $30 per student
Families with three or more siblings — contact us for a custom arrangement.
Sibling Rate applies to combined instruction only. Siblings must be present in the same session.
Sibling Rate does not stack with multi-hour pricing or Supported pricing.
Project-Based & Outdoor Sessions
Project-based and outdoor sessions may be delivered in any format:
1:1 tutoring
Small group tutoring
Co-op or workshop instruction
These sessions involve additional preparation, materials, location considerations, or instructional intensity.
A per-student fee is added to the base session rate.
Project-Based & Outdoor Fee — $25–$100+ per student, per session
The exact fee depends on the scope of the specific session, including duration, location, materials, travel, preparation, and instructional intensity. The fee is confirmed at booking.
Typical Project-Based & Outdoor Fee Range
Up to 2 Hours — $25–$40 per student Short or low-prep sessions such as backyard garden projects, basic building or craft work, short ecology observations, local trail walks, or simple hands-on learning activities.
3–4 Hours — $50–$75 per student Moderate-prep sessions, local outdoor work, sessions requiring specific materials, short travel, half-day projects, or structured outdoor science blocks.
Full Day — $100+ per student Full-day outdoor programs, intensive multi-stage builds, sessions at remote locations, significant materials, or specialized preparation.
Project-based and outdoor fees are per student and apply in addition to the base tutoring or group rate.
What the Project-Based & Outdoor Fee Covers
The fee may cover:
Session preparation
Instructional design
Basic supplies and consumables
Use of program tools and equipment
Location or instructional setup needs
Specialty materials for substantial projects may be billed separately at cost when needed. This may include building materials, livestock supplies, take-home project components, or location access fees.
When additional materials are needed, a materials list or cost estimate will be provided before booking.
No material costs are added without confirmation.

A defined academic learning objective aligned to ESA eligibility under Tutoring: Specific Subject
Structured instruction with applied practice and real-world connection
A measurable outcome documented for learning records
ESA-compliant documentation for ESA-billed families
Documentation available on request for private-pay families
A consistent, prepared educator who knows your student
The rate covers the session and the documentation.
There are no surprise fees, no per-page documentation charges, and no hidden costs.
ESA or Private Pay
Rising Within is an approved Arizona ESA vendor under:
Tutoring: Specific Subject
ESA-billed sessions include documentation prepared for ClassWallet submission.
Private-pay families receive the same instructional quality, the same structured approach, and the same option for written documentation upon request.
Rising Within honors the curriculum your family has chosen, whether secular or faith-based, and documents services according to the tutoring subject being provided.
Invoicing & Payment
All invoicing is issued through QuickBooks. Invoices are sent at the time of booking, and payment is due before or at the start of the appointment.
ESA families: the invoice must be uploaded to ClassWallet before or at the start of the appointment. ADE review and ClassWallet payment follow their standard timeline after upload.
Private-pay families: payment is processed through QuickBooks (card or bank transfer) before the session begins. Zelle or cash may be accepted as backup options.

A limited number of Supported pricing arrangements may be available for families experiencing financial need.
Supported pricing is handled privately and is not automatically available. It must be discussed and approved before services begin. Any approved arrangement will be confirmed in writing during onboarding or before the first session.
