About Rising Within
Rising Within is a small Arizona practice offering ESA-approved tutoring for K–12 students and structured personal coaching for adults.
The work is intentionally personal, but clearly defined: steady instruction, thoughtful coaching, honest documentation, and support that adapts to the person in front of it.
Founded by Brianna Au, Rising Within was built for families and adults who want support that is patient, practical, and grounded.
Small by Design
Rising Within is small on purpose.
That means services are not rushed, overbuilt, or treated like a program someone must fit into. Tutoring and coaching are both approached with preparation, structure, and room for the real person in front of the work.
For students, that may mean slowing down, reinforcing skills, adapting to a learning profile, or working alongside the curriculum a family has already chosen.
For adults, that may mean creating space for growth, transition, rebuilding, decision-making, or personal development in a structured, non-clinical setting.
The instruction differs.
The care doesn't.
What Rising Within Offers
Youth Tutoring
Rising Within provides academic tutoring for Arizona K–12 students in 1:1, small group, and workshop formats.
Student services are ESA-approved under the category Tutoring: Specific Subject and are built around academic instruction, skill development, and curriculum support.
Tutoring may include support with learning skills, study habits, applied academic concepts, executive functioning, reading, writing, math, science, enrichment topics, or parent-selected curriculum.
Adult Coaching
Rising Within also offers personal coaching for adults navigating growth, transition, rebuilding, or life change.
Coaching is structured, non-clinical, and private pay only. It is not therapy, counseling, diagnosis, or mental health treatment.
Coaching is faith-integrated. Secular coaching is available by request.
Parent-Led Resources
Rising Within is also developing lesson plans, parent-led learning resources, and future curriculum materials for families who want structured, practical support at home.
The Approach
Rising Within's work is built around three principles:
Patient Real progress takes time. Whether a student is building academic confidence or an adult is rebuilding after a hard season, the work is allowed to unfold at a human pace.
Structured Support should not feel vague. Tutoring sessions have a clear instructional focus. Coaching sessions have a working agenda. Documentation, goals, and next steps matter.
Adaptive The plan serves the person, not the other way around. Instruction and coaching are adjusted based on need, readiness, learning style, goals, and real-life circumstances.
Faith and Welcome
Rising Within is rooted in Christ as the foundation for how the work is approached: with patience, honesty, humility, and care.
That foundation shapes the practice.
It does not limit who is welcome.
Families and adults of every background, every faith, and every starting point are welcome here.
For ESA-funded student services, religious or doctrinal instruction is not provided as the primary objective of a session. Rising Within follows Arizona ESA program rules. Families who want explicit faith-based instruction may arrange that separately through private pay.
For adult coaching, the work is faith-integrated; secular coaching is available by request.
Founder Snapshot
Rising Within was founded by Brianna Au, a U.S. Army veteran, mother, wife, educator, and coach.
Brianna's background includes military service, psychology, crisis and trauma training, addiction and recovery studies, coaching certification, and graduate education focused on autism studies and online instruction.
Her work is shaped by both formal training and lived experience, with a strong commitment to honest scope, steady support, and practical care.

What Rising Within Is — and What It Isn’t
Rising Within is an educational, instructional, and developmental practice.
Rising Within is:
An Arizona ESA-approved tutoring practice for K–12 students
A non-clinical adult coaching practice for personal development, transitions, and growth
A source of lesson plans and parent-led learning resources
A small, structured practice built around honest care and clear documentation
Rising Within is not:
A licensed school
A licensed therapy, counseling, or mental health practice
A diagnostic, medical, or clinical service
A special education or IEP service provider
Students with IEPs, 504 plans, diagnoses, or unique learning profiles are welcome. Rising Within can adapt instruction and work alongside existing supports, but it does not replace a student's school team, clinical providers, or special education services.
