Rising Within delivers tutoring in three formats. Each one carries the same standard of care: prepared instruction, clear communication, and documentation that supports both learning and ESA compliance.
Tutoring Formats
1:1 Tutoring
The full session belongs to your child.
Best for targeted skill building, catching up after a transition, accelerating in a subject your family wants to push, or students who simply do better one-on-one.
Typically includes:
30/60/90-minute sessions
1–3 sessions per week
In-home, partner location, public meeting space, or online options

Small Group Tutoring
Sibling pairs or small learning pods of 2–5 students.
Best for families with multiple students, consistent small learning groups, or social learners who benefit from working alongside peers.
Typically includes:
60–90-minute sessions
Weekly or twice-weekly scheduling
Individual ESA-compliant records for each student
Workshops
Co-ops, micro-schools, and groups of 6 or more students.
Best for homeschool co-ops, micro-schools, community programs, and project-based group instruction.
Workshops may be scheduled as single events or recurring series.
Typically includes:
Customized group instruction
In-person instruction at partner locations or outdoor sites
Per-student documentation under each child's ESA account
Program Areas
All ESA-funded instruction is tied to a specific academic subject for documentation.
Within those subjects, Rising Within offers six program areas families can choose from — faith-honoring or secular, traditional or applied.
Academic Foundations & Communication Math, reading, writing, executive functioning, study skills, and communication. This is traditional academic support for students who need or want focused subject-specific instruction.
STEM, Applied & Research Hands-on projects integrating math, science, writing, and problem-solving. This may include STEM challenges, building, designing, entrepreneurship, research skills, source evaluation, and digital literacy.
Outdoor, Land & Practical Sciences Outdoor science, environmental ecology, field observation, Arizona natural history, gardening, animal biology, food preservation, and traditional life skills taught as academic instruction.
Health, Movement & Wellness Physical education, motor skill development, fitness literacy, human biology, nutrition science, and applied health literacy.
Educational content only. This is not medical guidance.
Civics, Community & Leadership Social studies instruction in civics, government, history, economics, and geography. Lessons may include research, written analysis, structured discussion, and community-based learning.
Literature & Personal Development Language arts instruction through literature, biographical reading, discussion, and structured written reflection.
Faith-integrated curriculum may be honored when chosen by the family, while ESA-funded services remain academically focused.
What Every Session Includes
For ESA families, each tutoring session is documented through an ESA-compliant invoice that includes:
Provider information for Rising Within LLC
Invoice date and invoice number
Student name
Type of tutoring, such as Math, Reading, Writing, Science, or another approved subject area
Dates of service
Itemized fees and total amount
Invoices are issued on a regular billing cycle and prepared for ClassWallet upload.
Private-pay families receive the same itemized billing format, with payment processed directly through QuickBooks or another agreed method.
Brief communication between sessions is available by email or text for time-sensitive questions. A short end-of-engagement or end-of-year summary may be provided on request.
Every Kind of Learner
Tutoring works best when your child's actual learning profile is the starting point.
If your child has an IEP, a 504 plan, a diagnosis, or a learning profile that does not fit the standard mold, we begin by looking at where your child is, what they can do, where they are stuck, and what your family wants to build toward.
Rising Within is not your child's IEP team and does not replace formal special education services.
Within tutoring, however, every student is met where they are. Pace, format, materials, and instructional approach are adapted to the student — not the other way around.
